Update on September

This month my goal is a bit lower than normal. My goal was to make $500 instead of $1000. This is because I had my new baby at the beginning of the month, so I was scaling back on my work. Additionally, I am on maternity leave until October for my job as a virtual assistant.

I've pretty much just been making money writing articles on Merchant Circle. This is one thing I love about working as a freelance writer, I can do the work whenever I have time and don't have to adhere to a strict schedule. Most of the articles I wrote one handed while holding the baby at night when he didn't want to sleep in his bed.

I will admit though it is hard to work at home with a baby. I find that I can't get much done during the day it seems like every time I sit down to work he wakes up and wants to be held.

All for now,
AJ

Update on SliceThePie

Well, it took a while, but I finally reached the payout on SliceThePie. The minimum payout was $10 and it was posted to my Paypal account the next day. Unfortunately, it took a while to reach payout towards the end because my rating was dropped to a one-star. Not quite sure why as I posted the same types of reviews throughout the whole time I reviewed the different songs.

I did have another nice surprise this morning from SliceThePie. I received an email saying that for the day I would be paid .10 per review no matter what my rating was, so I took a bit of advantage from that and reviewed a few extra songs. Hopefully, I will receive more of those emails and be able to build up a bit of extra money. I can't do many songs at once, because I tend to find myself tuning the songs and repeating reviews. My goal is to do at least 10 per day to slowly build up a bit of extra cash.

I will update my Proof of Payment pages with a screenshot of the payment received from SliceThePie shortly.

Update on the month of August

So far, August has been going pretty well for me. 11 days into the month and I am almost halfway to my goal. I would be a bit farther, but I cam down with a stomach flu which left me too sick to complete any of my extra work. I am really disappointed about that because I was going to use the money from it to buy a few more baby items I need. Oh well, I will just have to try to make up for it later.

I have been enjoying doing Postloop. I am making about $5 every few days posting on about 5 different forums. So far this month, I have made $15 with them. It's not a whole lot I know, but every little bit helps. I only post in forums that I have an interest in and the posts come naturally. Due to some anxiety issues, it's hard for me to be active in forums, so this is nice practice as well.

On to other things... I have almost reach enough to cash out on Slice The Pie. It's been awhile since I joined, and still haven't made the minimum to payout, which is $10. This is mainly due to the fact that it is hard to find time to listen to the music without having a kid or husband make me take my headphones off. I need the headphones on so I can listen to the music properly and make genuine comments about the songs. Hopefully I should have an update and payment proof for them in the next few days. I think I am around $1 short, which due to fluctuating scout ratings will be anywhere from 10-20 songs.

So, that is my month so far. I will update again with anything new later on in this month.

Update on Postloop

Just wanted to post an update that Postloop does indeed pay. The minimum payout is 100 points which equals about $5 and is paid into your Paypal account. I cashed out yesterday the moment I hit 100 and received payment about 5 hours later.

It seems to be a decent way to make some extra money. I will post a payment proof on the payment proof page in a moment.

If you would like to try out Postloop, click here.

Money for forum posting

Some people at some of the WAH forums I frequent have been talking about a site called Postloop. It looks interesting they are estimating that they are making around $8 per hour, but haven't actually cashed out yet.

I went ahead and signed up and posted my first 10 posts for review. Hopefully this will turn out to be a legitimate site. Would be great to get paid for chatting with people on a forum.

I will update the if I ever actually hit payout and will post a screen shot of when I get paid.

According to Postloop you get .05 per point and the average post gets 1 point. I guess a rough calculation would be that it would take 20 points to equal a dollar. I don't know my brain hurts, I have a headache and don't really feel like figuring the numbers out. I will update later with a better description of this site at a later time.

It Pays To Know People

I am very excited today. I was just offered a new opportunity to make money. The client that I do some private work for offered to pay me to moderate their forum. It doesn't pay a whole lot, $15 a week, but it won't take that long to do either. All I will need to do is make sure people are posting in the correct spots, aren't spamming the forum, and post topics occasionally.

Update on Month So Far

With a week left to go for the month, it doesn't look like I will hit my goal income. This has been a very slow month for pretty much all of my work so far.

On the VA side, 2 clients put their accounts on hold for an indefinite time. They both are going back to more traditional work, because it offers more security than what they were previously doing. While I am sad to let them go, I understand that they wish for more security in their work.

As for my other work, my husband has started a new job so he's had a week of in between them, so I haven't been as focused on the additional things I can. Instead, we have spent more time hanging out with our kids and spending time together. Great for the family, but horrible for my motivation to work.

At least I have met my base goal of what I absolutely need to make, so I can at least be happy with that.

Treasure Trooper

I have been a member of Treasure Trooper for quite a while now and have truly enjoyed making money with them. Unfortunately, my time has been taken up by other pursuits, so I have really done anything with them since about January.

If you don't know what Treasure Trooper is it's a GPT site where you get paid to perform certain actions. To make the best use of this, I would advise creating a handful of emails with something like mail.com, so that your real email address doesn't get hit by a bunch of scam.

Even though I haven't actively used TT, I have been using the app of Facebook. You get a free Jackpot spin everyday and have the chance to win money, pearls, relics, and gold coins. If you get all 4 of the relics you can win $100. I've been doing it since the app was released and have 3 of the 4 relics.

In a later post, I will write a more detailed description of Treasure Trooper.

Earning Cash Back On Your Online Purchases

If you do a great deal of shopping online you may be able to receive back a percentage of what you spend. A great site that I like to use is called BigCrumbs. I don't do a lot of shopping online, but the few times I have I purchased the items through BigCrumbs. The purchases I made were from Walmart.com.

The percentage you get back depends on the retailer and in order to get the cash back you have to go through the links on the BigCrumbs website before purchasing.

In addition to earning cash back on your purchases, you can also earn money from referrals who sign up under you.

In the next few days, I will be adding the payment proof on the Proof of Payment page, so be sure to check it out.

If you want to sign up for BigCrumbs visit www.bigcrumbs.com or sign up through my referral link.

Getting Paid To Watch Ads

So, I was looking across one of the work at home forums that I frequent. It's called Beezag. From what I have read of it online, it seems to be legit.

In order to make money, you have to watch ads that match your profile and you are rewarded points. For every 1,000 points you can get $1. Minimum cash out is 8000 points. I was able to make 200 points yesterday by watching 5 ads.

With this website you actually have to watch the ads and keep an eye out for scrolling numbers that go by as you watch it. At the end of the video it will ask you what numbers scrolled by. If you don't answer the question or answer incorrectly you don't get the points, but you have the opportunity to watch the ad again.

I'll update again if I should make the payout.

If you are interested in signing up, visit www.beezag.com or sign up using my referral link at http://bit.ly/pzR6B0.

How I Make My Swagbucks

I have found Swagbucks to be a great way to build up Amazon giftcards. I average enough points to get about 1-2 Amazon giftcards per month. Each giftcard costs 450 Swagbucks. Here is how I make those points.

First, I do all the daily activities which reward Swagbucks. These are:
1 buck for loading the toolbar
1 buck for looking at the daily surveys
1 buck for taking the daily poll
2 bucks for going through the No Obligation Special Offers (NOSO)

Just by doing that, I get a minimum of 5 swagbucks per day.

In addition to that, I try to enter every Swagcode that I can. To help me do this I follow SBCodez on Twitter. Every time there is a new Swagcode the send a message out on Twitter letting you know. Now, I don't really pay attention to Twitter, so I have Twitter email me when there is a new update from SBCodez. Since I am near my computer off and on all day while I work, I just leave a browser tab open to my email and check it every once in a while.

In addition to those two things, I also make sure to do a few searches each day. An easy way to do this but not just be spamming for searches is to use Swagbucks for when I do research for my writing. I win for searching about 2-3 times per day and average around 8-15 Swagbucks each time.

Earnings For June

Now that I am updating my earnings on the sidebar, I thought it would be nice to have a post with what my June earnings were.

VA Work: $719.51
Private Client: $160
Textbroker: $107.38
Merchant Circle: $4
Surveys: $6
Swagbucks: $10 (in Amazon Giftcards)
QuickRewards: $0.93

Total: $1007.82

I exceeded my goal for the month by a whole $7. Yay!! Unfortunately that was used to get caught up on past bills, so I feel like I have nothing to show for it. I'm thinking of opening up a savings account specifically for all my extra online earnings such as surveys and writing. So it doesn't end up being spent in the day to day life.

Found a new egg to make money

Came across a new egg to make money. It's called SliceThePie and you get to review songs from unknown artists. I've had the songs on in the background for part of the day while I finished some writing assignments. So far, I've totaled $3 and some change. Not too bad for not really actively trying. I just switch browsers and jot down my comments once the song is over and I get a chance.

It starts you off making 2 cents per review as a 1-star rater. You can reach up to a 5-star rater and can earn 20 cents per review. Not bad. Should you only listen to the minimum 60 seconds of a song you could make as much as 12 per hour as a 5 star rater if your internet is really fast. Now I doubt that anyone really makes that much but it is a great way to earn some extra cash in your spare time.

I'll update on if the site actually pays in a couple of days. I plan to hit the minimum payout of $10 in a few days. I only spent about an hour on it. Hour and a half tops. Today was my first day doing it and I am already a 3 star rater. That means I make 10 cents per review.

If you would be interested in signing up for SliceThePie visit https://www.slicethepie.com/SignUp.aspx, and no it's not an affiliate link, so I get nothing from you signing up with them.

My first post!

Welcome to my brand new blog. I started this to help keep track of my progress as I work from home. I have been working from home part time for around 6 months now, but would like to slowly progress it to a full time thing. As of right now, my goal income is $1000 per month. While it isn't a whole lot, it will cover the majority of my household bills (my husband will work to cover the rest outside of the house) as well as build up some savings.

To introduce myself a bit I will state a bit about myself. I have a work-at-home mom of 2 wonderful children and have another due in September. I am very happily married to a great guy who works hard to provide for the family and is hoping to start his own business in the next year. That is actually part of why I want to start upping what I can make from home to help ease the transition when his business first starts up.

I am very thankful that I have been able to find opportunities to work at home. I love that I can spend everyday with my children and still be able to provide for them financially.

Currently, I have a part time job as a Virtual Assistant with a great company and work with some really great clients. In total, I work about 10-15 hours per week and this is where the majority of my income comes from. Just this month, I have added writing to my list of gigs. I mainly write for Textbroker, but am trying to expand to other places as well. I also do surveys for a great company, PineCone Research, and some other odds and ends for various places. In addition to all of that, just this month I have picked up a private client and edit articles.

In addition to helping me keep accountable and keep track of my earnings, I plan on writing about various work at home opportunities to help others who wish to work at home.
